Berberine is a potent insulin sensitiser, even matching the effectiveness of some prescribed medications. In one study, berberine lowered insulin and glucose levels and significantly reduced total cholesterol (LDL - bad cholesterol) and triglycerides, and improved HDL (good cholesterol levels).

In another study, within just three months of treatment, women who took berberine as a dietary supplement saw greater reductions in body fat loss than placebo. Unsurprisingly, this makes berberine supplements effective for weight loss, especially in PCOS

Ginger root, like berberine, works to improve insulin sensitivity. As a result, this unique blend of berberine & ginger root enhances the efficacy of this natural supplement for easing symptoms such as weight gain, cravings, infertility and fatigue in PCOS. Additionally, this top rated formula has anti-androgenic effects, meaning it may help to manage androgens in PCOS, which is a form of testosterone that drives symptoms like acne and hair growth.

Effect on Insulin Resistance and Inflammation: PMID (21110076)

The study began with inflammatory responses and insulin resistance being induced by palmitate (PA) stimulation for 24 hours. The results of the study suggest that berberine improved insulin sensitivity and demonstrated anti-inflammatory activity in PA-stimulated cells.

Can Berberine be taken with birth control?

Can it be combined with Inositol or Balance?

Can Berberine be taken long-term?

There is information out there that Berberine should be taken for no more than six months however there are no studies confirming this is the case. To be safe, we do recommend taking a month break about every 6 months still.

Life changer

This has transformed my life. I was diagnosed with pcos since I was 16. Nothing else was given to me but birth control making my symptoms worse. Extremely heavy and painful periods with cysts in both of my ovaries, a myoma in my uterus, I knew it was time for change. Currently down 24 lb since taking berberine - balance - spearmint and inositol. All my labs came back perfect, regular and on time periods. Haven't felt this great in years. Thank you Drew for caring and making so many womens life better.
